§ About

We fill the days around the safari.

Most tourists in northern Tanzania already have their multi-day safari booked through an operator. What we kept hearing — at hotel desks, in WhatsApp groups, from drivers themselves — was that the days between those bigger trips were the problem. Layovers. The day before. The afternoon you didn't plan. Twende Safari is the platform for those days.

§ 01 — Day trips only

We don't book multi-day safaris. We don't bundle hotels. We don't replace your tour operator. Half-day or full-day, back to your hotel by evening — that's the entire product surface. Keeping the scope tight is what lets us be Uber-fast on a marketplace that historically takes days of WhatsApp back-and-forth to confirm.

§ 02 — Drivers, vetted

Every driver on the platform is verified by the Arusha Tourist Police — NIDA cross-check, TLB permit, vehicle inspection. They carry a Twende-issued certificate with a QR code travellers can scan to verify on the spot. We renew annually.

§ 03 — Local-first

Drivers keep 90% of what travellers pay on Twende-routed trips, and 100% on bookings they bring themselves through their own listings. Park fees pass straight through to TANAPA. The 10% commission funds the platform, the support line, and the police-vetting subsidy.

§ 04 — Built in Arusha

Headquartered in Arusha, designed for the Northern Circuit first. We grow outward as the driver network grows — Moshi next, then the coast. Slowly. Properly.
